Today’s parents are bombarded with confusing messages about their child’s emotional wellbeing in our challenging social climate. How can parents manage mental health symptoms? How do parents know how to be supportive and give appropriate independence?
Our office now partners with Dr. Jenny Brown. She has been working as a mental health professional in child and adolescent mental health for decades. From her research, clinical and consulting work she has developed an approach that helps parents to navigate the pressures of parenting in anxious times. This course presents a paradigm shift away from focussing on children, to focussing on what is in the parent’s capacity. Parents will gain insights into how they can best contribute to their child’s positive emotional health.
Each Month on a Rotating 4 Week Schedule:
1st Monday: Where is your parenting energy directed?
2nd Monday: Is worry driving my connection?
3rd Monday: Setting & Holding Clear Limits.
4th Monday: Paying Attention to the Big Picture & Your Job Description
