Cookie Care Packages for Youth - Volunteer Training & Onboarding
Support our newest program called SHIFT Conversations for Youth & School Attendance. We need lots of cookie packages and caring community members willing to help!

About the Event
The Katallasso Group (and our many volunteer Restorative Family Mediators™) are launching SHIFT conversations in September 2023 in partnership with Scott County schools and Human Services. Together our team will support over 500 youth this next academic year to help them make agreements/plans to get back into school. Each youth will recieve homemade chocolate chip cookies for their SHIFT conversation and they will have the opportunity to opt into recieving a monthly cookie care package for the duration of the school year from caring community volunteers willing to bake cookies and deliver to 1) Shakopee Family Resource Center and/or 2) ship cookies directly. We want each youth to feel loved, supported, and encouraged as they open their box of fresh cookies and be reminded of the importance of school. Would you be willing to support a youth struggling with absenteeism/truancy and send them cookie care packages monthly?
This volunteer training is an opportunity to get instructions, our secret "Gramma Diane's chocolate chip cookie" recipe, and cookie packaging to get started.

If you join us at The Nest, you'll not only get all the details to successfully volunteer with us, but you'll help us organize care packages to be prepared to be delivered to our programming site or directly to a youth.
