Today’s parents are bombarded with confusing messages about their child’s emotional wellbeing in our challenging social climate. How can parents manage mental health symptoms? How do parents know how to be supportive and give appropriate independence? 

Dr Lisa Welter (Leadership & Parent Focus) partners up with Dr. Jenny Brown  (a mental health professional in child and adolescent mental health for decades). From their research, clinical and consulting work they have developed an approach that helps parents to navigate the pressures of parenting in anxious times. This course presents a paradigm shift away from focusing on children, to focusing on what is in the parent’s capacity. Parents will gain insights into how they can best contribute to their child’s positive emotional health using Dr. Jenny Brown's Parent Confidence Project curriculum each session.
