Mediation Training + Practice in a Box + Child Welfare Integration

Why do we give our training away for free? It's the right thing to do.

We want to:

  • Empower and train the broader community in high quality alternative dispute resolution skills

  • Remove every barrier and make mediation training available to everyone - we believe this is a fundamental lifeskill for healthy communities, families, and society

  • Do our part to reduce the high volume of family cases in court and lighten the loads of judicial officers

  • Offer a culturally flexible approach

  • Job creation for those with a heart to engage in justice

  • Offer peaceful alternatives to families, youth, and children.

Anyone (yes, anyone) can do the training and build a practice, a ministry, or help families where ever they find themselves. There's no strings attached. Live outside Minnesota - no problem, we train anyone and you can bring your completed certificate to any state. Simply complete any additional or specific local requirements.

We focus on people and their relationships using a restorative leadership style within mediation.

Restorative Family Mediation includes an ADR modality called restorative circles to help neutrals stay fully neutral and safeguard the mediation environment from coercion or power imbalances.

Our MN SCA Rule 114 Certified training package includes the following:

An online certified 40 hours of alternative dispute resolution training program approved by the MN State Court Administrator for MN Rule 114 Roster.  Domestic violence, child welfare, and family law matters are a part of our training, with plenty of hands-on experience to try out your new skills. You'll receive a Practice in a Box with your registration. PIAB is a comprehensive mediation mega-file toolkit, including all the mediation paperwork necessary to open your practice, mediation forms, a Memorandum of Agreement, practice brochures, family workshops for clients, proposals for child welfare, and more!

We are a CE Pre-Approved Provider for:
