Our Promise To You

Your story matters.
Privacy and confidentiality matter.

1 / Our team will contact you, introduce our services and answer any questions you might have. If you decide to move forward, you decide the best time to connect with us during our online hours.

You'll receive a calendar invite with a  link to join your family or parent/teen session with reminders. You may extend that link to whomever you wish to have participate in the session with you. I.e. Teen, other parent, or supportive relationships such as extended family or friends. When preparing for your session, find a comfortable location, grab a coffee/tea/water or a snack, and make sure you are in a quiet space without distractions before joining the session.

2 / Upon login, you'll be greeted by our team host in an online "foyer" to check-in and move to your designated and private breakout room. Your breakout room is reserved for your family only and you'll be warmly welcomed by the team member who originally contacted you to begin your session.

All others joining you, will follow the same instructions if they are on their own device. Each will be guided to your family's breakout room. The session will begin once everyone arrives. Sessions range from 30-90 minutes and should be communicated with you during the initial phone call. Our team members facilitating your session are Rule 114 Qualified Neutrals/Restorative Family Mediators. They are required to ensure safety is maintained throughout your session.

3 / During session, one team member will guide the discussion while the other team member captures agreements/plans in writing.

Two team members will be present during your session. One will facilitate as the Neutral/Mediator and the other capturing agreements and plans. All team members are volunteers championing and coaching your success because they've overcome hard situations too. Sometimes they may share their own stories of challenging situations to help foster ideas or ways to address what is happening at home. Regardless, you'll be invited to relax, incubate new ideas, and propagate plans that fit your situation. You will leave feeling supported, heard, and cared for - and hopefully new plans to try out! (Please note: Recording sessions is prohibited under Rule 114. Only agreements and plans are written down to be shared with the family members, our team members, and the referral source.)

4 / Upon conclusion of your session, your team members will repeat back what goals, plans, and agreements were created. They will set up your follow up session before you leave and send you on your way.

At the end of your session, the group should be clear on what was agreed to as well as next steps. The team members will have your plans and agreements drafted into a written document to be emailed to you within 48 hours. Your team members will set up your follow up session with you prior to your departure.
